Stanford Directors’ Network occasionally offers focused programming for aspiring board leaders with specific expertise. Our Board Governance Accelerator is a six-month intensive course that includes learning sessions with governance experts, one-to-one mentoring with a seasoned public company director, guidance on board bios, networking and interviewing, and a capstone event with experienced directors. The 2026 Board Governance Accelerator for AI Experts accepted 16 candidates who are now “candidates to watch.”

Leading-Edge Stewardship Roundtables bring together seasoned directors for candid, off-the-record discussions about the realities of board service. These invitation-only gatherings are designed to foster meaningful dialogue among peers facing complex governance challenges.
